In some frames it was more important to utilize the thirds of our frame in order to make the most appealing aesthetics. With  the idea of using darkness, we knew that the more the characters filled the frame the greater their significance. If it wasn't  the character it was shaded to represent the dark setting.

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For ( Marketing Plan)

Image
Sin City 2 had a very basic marketing plan. Interviews, trailers, TV spots, sneak peeks, and etc. The marketing team utilized Adult Swim for some trailer views. That is a good way to reach some demographics from the age of 14 to the early thirty's. They also had music star Lady GaGa in the movie so they marketed her involvement in the film as well. Billboard even made a post about her being in the movie. This the link: https://www.billboard.com/articles/news/6191120/lady-gaga-sin-city-dame-kill-for-trailer . They also had actual billboards out in public and released a  theatrical poster as most films do.

Use of Technology - Camera Lighting

Using my Canon Rebel T6i, I changed the ISO filter, increasing the amount of light that would enter the camera. At this point I was not aware of the fact that this would more grain to the footage. I kept my aperture settings on the lowest point also to avoid the scene being too dark. I was constantly working with the full capacity of my lights in the room in order to produce a dark, quiet place while also being about to see the actors.

Use of Technology - Lighting

In this project, we went to a house on a farm. I had my actor stand in the bathroom while i set up the lights in relation to the camera. It was a very tight space so hiding lights was nearly an impossibility. but I had two white lights and a red light shining on the actors in order to add the practical effect that the room was shining red. This effect is supported in the film by the two candle fires that are before The Maker, which make it seem like they're lighting the room. In the room next to the bathroom, I had to plug in the red light so there was very limited space to have that red light and use it effectively. I was truly trying to simulate the candle fire feeling.

Third Quarter Draft Screening

The main improvements that were recommended to my group was simply too improve what I had not already improved, which happens to be finishing the HUD eyes in After Effects and fixing color and audio. There was a recommendation to sync the opening the tapping of the screen but I made mention of the fact that there were too many text frames to sync all of them up. These are being thoroughly evaluated and are being corrected.
