Armageddon (1998), a $140 million budget Tombstone Picture, is about a titanic asteroid that is headed to destroy Earth and a group of blue collar oil drillers are recruited to go into space to drill through the asteroid to destroy it with a nuclear bomb. This movie is directed by Michael Bay. The first two minutes of this movie displays an all-visual effect representation of the asteroid destroying life during the dinosaurs. It then proceeded to display a new asteroid approaching Earth in modern day (being 1998). This introduction is narrated over, speaking on the topic of the 6 mile wide asteroid that destroyed the dinosaurs, with more power than any nuclear weapon, and continues by telling us about the impending danger that Earth faces with the new asteroid. This doesn't tell us any of the characters in the story, but it does reveal to the audience what the conflict will be. It does include the main actor, Bruce Willis, before displaying the title (in flames), but no other role...

I chose to do the film project. I founded my own film company and I got to study film-making with New York Film Academy in Orlando. I am a writer, artist, director, actor, producer, and more. I have access to and experience using Adobe Premiere Pro, along with having many stories that are ready to go into pre-production. The project that I am producing is a less complex variation of my script: "Malice." It is a sci-fi/ action story about a teenager who is reborn as a vigilante, bent on destruction, after the murder of his mother, by a cult which has plans to spellbind an entire city and then the world. Malice's character is not a hero bound by justice, but vengeance. In fact he is no hero at all; he is simply a vigilante. I pulled inspiration from, both, "Ghost in the Shell" and "V for Vendetta" when I was conceptualizing the visual aspects of the idea. For my entire life I have always been interested in acting and creating a new world of wonders and spectacles, but I strongly feel that it would be great to be a Writer, Director, Producer, and Cinematographer. I'm still going to pursue acting, but I think that, as a visionary, I'd love to bring my ideas, that i'm turning into comics, into superhero films in the future, once i've built up my company. I also write for action, sci-fi, drama, and horror. My first short film was a drama, titled "The Call," and I filmed it with New York Film Academy in Orlando ( I filmed my short film at Disney). I am an artist and I love to do concept designing, along with drawing out action and scenes for my comics, which is quite beneficial to my career as a visionary filmmaker. "Newsroom" has given me a lot of ideas on how to structure drama in different scenarios, just as "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" gave me some ideas on pacing comedy while touching on ...

I am interested in magazine publishing and advertisements within graphic novels and comics. There are a lot of good ways to market films through publishing. There is also a multitude of insight on the production of many films that came from interviews with some very famous actors within the industry. Watching "All the President's Men" and "The Newsroom" gave me a contrasting impression on journalism. I understood, before, that the press is for public consumption and awareness (when it wants to showcase something that can get them views), but there is a lot that I was not aware of, such as the hunt for information and the different levels of journalism within a corporate entity. I have a greater understanding and respect for journalists now, even though I still maintain that their bias is not universally acceptable.
