Shot List

We really want to do the second scene, but the way that the first cut was, it doesn't seem likely that we'll be able to incorporate it into this project. We really felt that the still frames and closeups would add to a menacing calm that our actors would bring when in the scene.

Ghost in the Shell (2017) Marketing Plan

Image
Ghost in the Shell (2017) is based on a manga, which was adapted into an animated Japanese film. Using the history of this concept and story and its importance to people around the world and especially in Japan, Ghost in the Shell already had a lot of backing. Marketing alongside Weta, the most popular and brilliant digital animation and design company as of late, and promoting with the already existing manga, along with releasing several trailers, teasers, billboards, posters, and concept designs to intrigue audiences into the spectacle that is Ghost in the Shell.

Malice - Target Audience

Malice is likely to be a rated R production. The audience that we would like to reach is 17 years of age to 35 years, covering young adults and many sci-fi fans over the course of the decades. Because it's rated R, it would be better to market the movie towards action lovers and sci-fi lovers. But it's also dark and twisted and the theme of anarchy would draw more Gothic fans as well. There are what we call "cult audiences" or "niche films" where the topic or interest of the film is only directed to a certain group people that just love those kinds of films, and this is likely to be one of those.

Music

Michael Miller is remaking the instrumentals for "Hard" by Tech N9ne feat. Murs for use in our action scene that has not yet been filmed. This instrumental has a sci-fi-like aspect on top of an organ which gives it a very religious sound as well. It blends the two aspects of the film because it addresses cults in a more advanced future.
