"Malice" is a film that is shrouded in hostility. It is a dystopian tragedy, where no good goes unpunished and where no bad deed is simply bad . The lines haven't simply been crossed, they have been tangled and knotted together to form a rope that chokes and restrains the will and morality of society. We follow the story of a teenager who has lost his mother to gang violence and territorialism. The story is not per say about him, but it is about combating the flawed nature of the selfish, immoral, and overbearing gangsters of today, in contrast to the past, where people stood up for what they believed in, rather than being a part of a bandwagon. You can think back to the riots during the reign of N.W.A. where they were protesting for their rights to speak freely about their daily lives in a country against African-Americans.
